that’s actually very smart, if it works properly.
If I like the new Green Day album, I don’t want to read a bunch of tweets from people who think Green Day sucks, and I’m an idiot for liking them.
[update:  it totally doesn’t work like that.  it just adds “:)” or “:(” to whatever you’re searching for, which — instead of actually determining and filtering attitudes for you — only leaves you with results from people who overuse emoticons.  foiled again.]
