If this doesn’t spark outcry and lead to better discourse between the protesters and police we’re in for another round of Kent State/Jackson State atrocities. upsetting for so many reasons, but I’m especially frustrated that this is all causing the conversation to change from “people vs. the 1%” to “people vs. the police”.   this was never supposed to be about the police, and the more it becomes about them, the more it feels entirely wasteful and utterly beside the point.
