“Contraception and mate choice in females: the pill  (oral contraceptive) suppresses ovulation and everybody knows or its been documented that women when they’re ovulating are attracted to different types of men. more masculine men, more cro-magnon-y types, hunkier, lunkier more knuckle draggy guys but when they’re not ovulating they’re attracted to basically swishy bitches, right. more effeminite gys. and they think this might be a problem for marital harmony, and for evolution.. because you know women are mostly in the west, on the pill when they’re dating and selecting mates and then they bag some guy, marry some guy and then they go off the pill bc they want to get want to get pregnant and suddenly they realize they’re not attracted to the pansy-ass swish they married that they wish they married the nfl guy who they ran from, when they were on the pill. and the other sort of evolutionary component of the study that’s really interesting…. is this element of the suppression of ovulation. that women are attracted when they are not ovulating to guys who are more genetically similar. and when they are ovulating they are attracted to guys who are more genetically dissimilar. and the more genetic diversity or dissimilarity the better when it comes to mating humans. and they think that over many many many many generations this could have evolutionary consequences for us! it’s very disturbing… particularly if you’re on the pill and engaged to be married. i think you should err on the side of caution and if you’re engaged to be married you should go off the fucking pill for a couple of months, just to make sure that once you go off the pill, once you’re legally hitched, that this is a guy whose dick you want to suck for the rest of your life.”

SO. this explains a lot. i went on the pill when i was 15 and stayed on it for nearly twelve years. and during that time dated a bunch of swishy bitches, some of them apparently more swishy than others. the second i got off the pill i found myself seeing a dude who grew up hunting things with guns. coincidence? i think not.

people should always meet and start relationships free of hormonal manipulation. it isn’t just the “swishy bitches” part - women on the pill are more likely to select men that are more like relatives/more genetically and immune system similar - which isn’t what we usually do when we are selecting a mate. in mimicking pregnancy you are more likely to surround yourself with providers/caregivers/nurturers. so the best plan is meet off the pill to be sure you are attracted to his immune system (among other things), then make sure you can still stand him on the pill. If you can make it in both realms you have yourself a catch.

or just let your guy know that once you go off the pill, he’s gonna have to man up and start shooting things.  (and then wink at him, and let it hang there.)
